Detroit water statement

The following is Flint Community Schools Superintendent Bilal Tawwab's full statement as Flint reconnects to Detroit water:

“Flint Community Schools appreciates our state government moving quickly to address the water crisis that is affecting students and families across our community. In light of what high levels of lead can do to our children’s cognitive and emotional well-being, we clearly need a long-term solution to ensure our children have access to clean, safe drinking water. On behalf of the families and students of Flint Community Schools, I urge our policymakers to help ensure all our children – especially the ones who have been exposed to lead – can learn and compete on a global scale.”
