Flint Community Schools Hosts Family Literacy Night in Collaboration with Community Partners

 

Family Literacy Night

 

In an effort to provide the children of Flint with reading materials and encourage literacy, Flint Community Schools (FCS) will host a Family Literacy Night on Thursday, December 8 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Flint Farmers Market.

FCS is committed to improving scholars’ academic achievement, including their reading fluency and comprehension. Family Literacy Night is a fun, free, multi-generational event where families, FCS staff and partners help create lifelong learners by sharing the value of reading. The event will include a poetry slam, activities, prizes, swag bags and more.
