Early Childhood Education

Flint Community Schools invites you and your child to become a part of our Great Start Readiness (GSRP) Pre-K program. The program offers a full day (Monday-Thursday) to students who are 4 years of age by September 1st . Items needed for enrollment are:
- Birth Certificate
- Immunization Record
- Proof of Income
- Proof of Residency
- Driver’s License/ID
Our GSRP (Pre-K) classrooms are conveniently located inside the following buildings:
- Brownell S.T.E.M. Academy
- Doyle Ryder Elementary
- Durant-Tuuri-Mott Elementary- Montessori
- Eisenhower Elementary
- Freeman Elementary
- Holmes S.T.E.M. Academy
- Pierce Elementary
- Potter Elementary
Program offerings:
- Full-day program that meets 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday

- A healthy and stimulating learning environment
- A seamless transition from Pre-K to Kindergarten
- Free dental and vision screenings
- Exciting field trips
- Nutrition program: daily breakfast, lunch and snack

Early Childhood Wrap-Around Services
The mission of Flint Community Schools Early Childhood program is to address the whole child. One way we accomplish this is by providing families with access to extended early childhood services offered by community partners of the city of Flint, serving children from birth through age three.
