Flint Community Schools (FCS) is delighted to announce the return of our annual Kindergarten Round-Up event, dedicated to warmly welcoming our newest scholars into the school community! This highly anticipated event provides a wonderful opportunity for parents and children to learn more about our FREE kindergarten program, meet our dedicated staff, and embark on their journey into elementary education.

At Kindergarten Round-Up, families can expect:

• Information Packet: Gain valuable insight into our curriculum, extracurricular activities, and school policies. Our team will address any questions or concerns you may have about your child's transition into kindergarten.

• Registration Assistance: Receive personalized assistance with the registration process from our knowledgeable team, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free enrollment experience.

We understand that starting kindergarten is a significant milestone for both children and parents, and we are here to support you every step of the way. Whether you're a first-time parent or have older children who have already experienced kindergarten, Kindergarten Round-Up promises to provide valuable information and resources to make this transition as smooth as possible.

The schedule for the Kindergarten Roundups is as follows:

• Mon. APRIL 8TH: Pierce Elementary

• Tues. APRIL 9TH: Eisenhower Elementary

• Wed. APRIL 10TH: Potter Elementary

• Thurs. APRIL 11TH: Freeman Elementary

• Fri. APRIL 12TH: Neithercut Elementary

• Mon. APRIL 15TH: Durant Tuuri Mott

• Tues. APRIL 16TH: Doyle Ryder Education Center

• Wed. APRIL 17TH: Brownell STEM Academy

Each event will run from 11 am to 1 pm, providing families with the opportunity to enroll their child in kindergarten. Enrollment typically takes 15-20 minutes, making the process convenient and accessible for all families.

The district-wide event will take place on May 2, 2024 (date changed), from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Flint Farmers' Market.

This annual event will feature science activities sponsored by Ann Arbor's Unity in Learning, adding an element of fun and excitement to the enrollment process.

As an added incentive, each enrolled scholar will receive a FREE "Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom Book," promoting literacy and sparking a love for reading from the very beginning of their educational journey.
