In accordance with the decision made by the Flint Community Schools (FCS) Board during its meeting on September 13, 2023, we hereby notify the public of the forthcoming demolition of the Washington Elementary building.

Demolition Site: Washington Elementary, 1400 N Vernon Ave, Flint, MI 48506, Flint, Michigan

Reason for Demolition: The decision to demolish the Washington Elementary building has been made in alignment with the strategic planning and development goals of Flint Community Schools.

Scope of Work: The entire building is included in Asbestos-containing materials (ACM) abatement.
