Flint, Michigan – June 18, 2025 – Flint Community Schools is proud to announce it has received a grant of $5,586 from the Community Foundation of Greater Flint through the Flint Community Schools Athletic Association Endowment Fund, advised by Judge Duncan M. Beagle. This funding will provide critical support for the district’s athletic programs, benefiting student-athletes across all grade levels.
The grant will be used to address current athletic needs including:
Varsity track and field warm-ups
Middle school track and field uniforms and warm-ups
Fall volleyball shoes
Varsity football helmets
Middle school football helmets
“This generous support from the Community Foundation of Greater Flint is a direct investment in our students’ health, teamwork, and school pride,” said Superintendent Kevelin Jones. “Athletics play a vital role in a well-rounded education, and these funds will help ensure our scholars have the equipment and gear they need to succeed both on and off the field.”
