Flint Community Schools is offering free sports physicals to all middle and high school athletes. Athletes must have an up to date physical any time after April 15th 2025 in order to participate in any sport this upcoming school year. Follow this link to sign up for a time slot. We will be at Southwestern this Thursday, May 15th from 1-5pm and at Holmes next Tuesday, May 20th from 1-5pm. Sign up today! The GO stipend is not based on income or grades, and is funded through a mileage approved by Genesee County voters. The Class of 2025 Genesee Opportunity Stipend award amount is $1,600! This is an increase of $200 from 2024! As you know, the Genesee Opportunity (GO) stipend provides Genesee County high school graduates with money for college, career training, or certification licensing fees. To be eligible, students must reside in Genesee County or on a property that is taxed by a Genesee County school district and graduate from a Genesee County high school. Southwestern Classical Academy and Accelerated Learning Academy scholars qualify for the stipend and must complete an application online at: https://www.geneseego.org/home/application If any Class of 2025 seniors need assistance completing an application or have questions on how they may be able to utilize their stipend, they may reach out to Hannah Johnson at gcgo@geneseeisd.org or 810-591-4246.
