Flint Community Schools

Flint Community Schools families, staff, and community members came together to kick off the 2025–2026 school year with a Back to School Celebration filled with fun, excitement, and school spirit. The event was held on Saturday, September 13th at Houston Stadium and welcomed hundreds of families, as we celebrated the return to learning and the bright year ahead for Flint Community Schools scholars.

The celebration offered something for everyone. Families enjoyed music, games, activities, and resources designed to support a strong start to the school year. Scholars had the chance to reunite with friends and teachers while parents connected with staff and community partners who are dedicated to supporting their children’s success.

With free food, fun giveaways, bounce houses, and even a petting zoo, the Back to School event brought our community together while highlighting the district’s dedication to preparing every scholar for success — as we RE-ENERGIZE THE PRIDE, RENOVATE THE PLANS, REBUILD THE POSSIBILITIES, and REPURPOSE FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE!

The smiles, laughter, and sense of pride felt throughout the day were a reminder of what makes FCS unique—our strong community and shared belief in the potential of every scholar. Events like these highlight why Flint Community Schools continues to be the best choice for families across the city.
