FLINT COMMUNITY SCHOOLS SHARES CARE AND CONCERN FOLLOWING INCIDENT AT NEIGHBORING SCHOOL
Flint, MI - November 20, 2025 - Flint Community Schools would like to express its care and concern for the students, families and staff at Richfield Public School Academy in the wake of the unfortunate incident on November 18th. As educators, we all understand the seriousness of students bringing drugs to school, and the work that lies ahead. Flint Community Schools is relieved that the students that were involved are all home and appear to be doing well.
There has been some confusion online about Richfield Academy’s association with Flint Community Schools, and while the Richfield Academy is located in the city of Flint, it is not one of the Flint Community Schools.
The district’s focus remains on the safety, well-being, and support of our own scholars, who attend the following schools:
Flint Southwestern Classical Academy
Accelerated Learning Academy
Holmes STEM Middle School Academy
Brownell STEM Academy
Doyle Ryder Education Center
Durant Tuuri Mott Elementary School
Eisenhower Elementary School
Freeman Elementary School
Potter Elementary School
