Flint Community Schools proudly celebrated a successful FCS Cares Food Giveaway on Saturday, December 13, bringing together families, scholars, staff, and community partners to support those in need and showcase the power of community.
In partnership with Chartwells, the event provided 200 meals to families across the district, helping ensure access to nutritious food during the Holiday Break. Even in cold temperatures, the warmth of service and generosity filled the day.
A standout moment of the event was the leadership shown by our scholars. Students from Student Council and National Honor Society at Southwestern Classical Academy and Accelerated Learning Academy volunteered their time, working side-by-side with staff to serve families. Their dedication reflects the values of leadership, service, and pride that define Flint Community Schools.
The success of the FCS Cares Food Giveaway was made possible by the incredible teamwork of volunteers who braved the weather to make a difference. Their commitment embodies the spirit of Flint and the belief that we are stronger together.
Flint Community Schools remains committed to supporting families and strengthening partnerships through the FCS Cares initiative. Events like this remind us that when we come together, we can make a meaningful impact.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this day a success. Together, we are one.
