Free sports physicals are scheduled to take place on May 30th from 1-5 pm. These will be held at Holmes in their family engagement room. You must reserve a time slot through the Signup Genius and complete both forms in order to receive the physical. Please see the school coaching staff, main office, or nurse for assistance with receiving the forms to get completed. This is an opportunity to be prepared for the upcoming sports seasons!

Last night, the Flint Community Schools Board of Education, along with the District’s Administrative Cabinet Members, engaged in a Board Workshop regarding the vision for the Future of FCS. The group heard from Dr. Wanda Cook-Robinson - Key Contributor and Future Consultant, Nicole Blocker - Plante Moran Realpointe, and JaNel Jamerson - The Center for Excellence in Education. The material sparked conversation and excitement for the Central-Whittier Campus redevelopment. Together, we’re shaping the future of education in our community!

REMINDER—Eisenhower Families, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, we will be traveling to the zoo. Grades KD-2 will head to Potter Park Zoo, and grades 3-6 to the Detroit Zoo. Any student without a signed permission slip will not be able to attend. We are asking that all students arrive on time for school. Doors will open at 8:45 a.m. Parents, please allow your student to wear Eisenhower t-shirts, a jacket, long pants, and sneakers if possible. The weather will be cooler tomorrow. Go Cadets!

MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Flint Community Schools will be closed this Friday, May 23rd - Monday, May 26th in honor of Memorial Day. School will resume on Tuesday, May 27th.

Thank you all who were able to make it out to the sports physicals, provided by Hamilton Health Network, at Southwestern last Thursday! We will be cancelling the sports physicals for tomorrow at Holmes and will be rescheduling them for later this month. If you are an athlete you will need a sports physical to participate next school year. Please look out for more details on the new date we will be holding more sports physicals at Holmes. Remember that after signing up for a time slot that there will be two documents that must be signed by a guardian in order to receive the physical.

He enjoyed meaningful conversations and handed out prizes to each of them. Superintendent Jones stopped by Mrs. Oliver’s 5th-grade class at Durant Tuuri Mott Elementary School this morning. While he was there, they proudly recited the DTM Way: “I am somebody. I will do great things. I will learn and succeed. I am a DTM student.” Super. Jones also paid a visit to Mrs. Kidd-Cole’s EI Classroom. The scholars welcomed him with smiles and meaningful conversations.
