Signing your scholar up to have access to the district's School Wellness Program services just became easier! You can now consent for your child to receive services from the school nurse or clinical therapist, where available, online. Use the QR code to complete the consent now. The process is completely secure and HIPPA compliant. Healthy kids learn better. We want to help keep them in class and learning as much as possible! Our services help them continue to strive and do their best.

🎓✨ During their spring break, students from Howard University spent time in Flint giving back to the community through service and mentorship.

As part of the Alternative Spring Break program, students visited the district to connect with scholars, share information about college and scholarships, and even painted walls for an upcoming mural project. While at Southwestern Classical Academy, they had the opportunity to speak with Superintendent Jones about the district and his dedication to Flint Community Schools.

Their visit inspired students and highlighted the power of service, leadership, and giving back to the communities that shape us.

Scholars at Southwestern Classical Academy received a special treat from Superintendent Jones today, after completing extra credit work while the building was closed ahead of the holiday break. 🎉 Their dedication to staying on track and continuing their learning didn’t go unnoticed. In addition to gift cards, students were also entered into a drawing for two Nintendo Switch systems. Great job, Jaguars!📚👏
