Flint Community Schools encourages families to attend the Preschool Enrollment Kickoff Event at the Flint Children’s Museum tomorrow, Sunday, March 1, from 12–5 p.m. This countywide event is a great opportunity to learn about quality early learning programs available for children ages birth to five.

Today, 5th and 6th graders at Doyle Ryder Education Center brought history to life through a powerful Walking Wax Museum, portraying influential Black leaders, inventors, artists, and change-makers. From courageous trailblazers to creative visionaries, our students did an incredible job sharing their stories and impact.
Doyle Ryder will wrap up its celebration with a special dinner, bringing families together to reflect, learn, and celebrate.

🎉 Congratulations to the amazing programs at Durant-Tuuri-Mott Elementary School, Southwestern Classical Academy, and Holmes STEM Middle School Academy for receiving recognition through the Mott Foundation Youth Choice Awards! 👏✨
As part of its 100-year celebration, the Mott Foundation is awarding 100 grants of $1,926 each to Flint youth who are making a difference in their schools and community. Through the Youth Choice Awards, students share how they would use the funds to positively impact those around them and our scholars rose to the occasion!
