The GO stipend is not based on income or grades, and is funded through a mileage approved by Genesee County voters. The Class of 2025 Genesee Opportunity Stipend award amount is $1,600! This is an increase of $200 from 2024! As you know, the Genesee Opportunity (GO) stipend provides Genesee County high school graduates with money for college, career training, or certification licensing fees. To be eligible, students must reside in Genesee County or on a property that is taxed by a Genesee County school district and graduate from a Genesee County high school. Flint Community Schools Closed for Good Friday! In observance of Good Friday, Flint Community Schools will be closed on Friday, April 18, 2025.
