Today is the first day of class closures for those students who have been notified about not having up to date documentation related to their scholar's childhood immunizations. If your child still requires immunization assistance please take advantage of the clinic that will be held, all this week, in our Health Services department at the Administrative building. • Opening THE CUBE @ Brownell-Holmes, the district’s first new school building in over 50 years
• Earning the Certified Board Award for the second consecutive year, reflecting excellence in board governance
• Approving a five-year superintendent contract, providing stability and consistent leadership
• Completing four newly renovated school buildings, representing an investment of over $70 million
• Approving plans for a new Flint high school, scheduled to open in Fall 2028

For the past 25 years, the Shoes That Fit program has proudly served students in Flint Community Schools through partnerships with local hospitals that purchase and donate new shoes—especially during the holiday season.
This year, over 500 pairs of shoes were delivered to our K–6th grade scholars, helping ensure they are comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.
