To be eligible, you must reside in Genesee County, Michigan, or on a property that is taxed by a Genesee County school district and be a graduate, from a high school in Genesee County. Graduates must be enrolled in an eligible training program or post-secondary educational institution and apply by the due date.
The GO stipend can only be awarded one time and must be used within the first 12 months after graduation or GED completion. The GO stipend is not based on income or grades and is funded through a millage approved by Genesee County voters.

As of March 3rd there were 3 confirmed cases of measles in Michigan. Due to how contagious measles is, and how long it takes to build up in someone's system, that number is likely to grow significantly over the next 3-4 weeks, especially in areas or groups with lower vaccine rates. Getting vaccinated against any vaccine preventable illness is one of the best ways to greatly reduce the risk of you, or your children, getting and spreading the illness. Please look at the attached infographic for more important information about measles.

All school buildings will be closed today due to 119 United Teachers of Flint, MEA/NEA employees calling in sick today through the District’s Red Rover management system. The District certainly does not appreciate how this unexpected school closure will impact our families. While the District understands that this school closure will hurt our scholars more than anyone else, the District hopes that UTF employees will return to work tomorrow, so scholars can be educated tomorrow.
The District will continue to offer a high-quality education to our scholars when UTF employees return to work and the District looks forward to ending the 2023-24 school year on a positive note. If you have any questions regarding this statement, please feel free to contact the District at 810-760-1000.
