Southwestern Classical Academy Educators Recently Recognized with Hand of Hope Grants

At Southwestern Classical Academy, two dedicated staff members were recently recognized for their efforts to enrich student learning and experiences. Ms. Stinson and Ms. Martin each received grants from Hand of Hope—one to support Reading Recovery and the other to promote equity and opportunity for the SWCA Varsity Cheerleaders. Their commitment to expanding educational and extracurricular opportunities is making a meaningful difference for students every day.

These grants are part of Hand of Hope’s ongoing mission to serve, support, and uplift the Flint community. Through initiatives like the School Giving Campaign, the organization empowers local youth by celebrating and funding outstanding educators, schools, and student-led projects.

At Hand of Hope Thrift Boutique, their mission is clear: to be the hands of hope—supporting Flint’s youth and strengthening the community. By connecting generous donors with inspiring educational initiatives, Hand of Hope continues to make a lasting impact in the lives of students and teachers alike.
